(Toronto) -- BlackBerry is taking Ryan Seacrest to court. The Canadian smartphone creator has filed a lawsuit against the "American Idol" host's Typo Products LLC. BlackBerry says Seacrest's company is encroaching on its design by offering a physical keyboard that can be attached to some of Apple Inc's touchscreen iPhone 5 models. The Typo keyboard reportedly features an angled miniature keypad similar to those used on BlackBerry devices. The feature has helped BlackBerry maintain a loyal consumer base even as profits plummet. The once-dominant smartphone company has posted billions in dollars in recent quarters as consumers gravitate toward the iPhone and other touchscreen devices.
