(Undated) -- Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman apparently wasn't prepared for some of the responses directed at him after his post-game tirade last Sunday. In an exclusive interview with CNN's Rachel Nichols, Sherman says he was shocked because some of it was racist. It included tweets calling him an ape, a thug from the ghetto and the "N-word." He says the people who used racist slurs jolted him and he called it really sad.
Sherman created a media firestorm when he called out San Francisco 49ers' receiver Michael Crabtree in a post-game interview after Seattle's 23-17 win. The win is sending the Seahawks to a trip to Super Bowl 48.
