(Tucson, AZ) -- Enrique Iglesias may have been an unwitting "hero" to three young girls rescued from captivity in Tucson, Arizona this week. Tucson Police Chief Roberto Villasenior says the second oldest girl had a picture of the singer that helped her through the ordeal.
The girls were rescued when two of them ran from the house early Tuesday after their stepfather kicked in their bedroom door and threatened them with a knife. The girls told officers they were fed only once a day and had not bathed in several months. Police believe they had been locked up for two years. The stepfather, Fernando Richter, and the girls' mother, Sophia Richter, are facing multiple charges.
