(New York, NY) -- TV shows "Scandal," "House Of Cards" and "Breaking Bad" are among the recipients of this year's Peabody Awards. The University Of Georgia's 73rd annual presentation is recognizing a record 46 submissions out of eleven-hundred entries reflecting quality storytelling in electronic media. The list of winners also include news reports and specials from outlets such as Al Jazeera America, NPR, PBS, NBC, CNN, BBC, among others. Broadcast news vet Tom Brokaw is also being honored with Peabody's Personal Award. Journalist Ira Glass will host the Peabody Awards ceremony May 19th in New York City.
