John Frusciante Forms New Band, Debut Due Out In March

(Undated) -- Former Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante is continuing his foray into experimental music with another band. The guitarist has teamed up with longtime collaborator and former Mars Volta and At the Drive-In guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez as Kimono Kult. The group is fronted by Le Butcherettes leader Teri Gender Bender, and they plan to put out their debut EP "Hiding in the Light" digitally on March 4th. The four new tracks are described as "electro/dub/afro-beat/avant-freak/jazz-like conversations of instrumental ecstasy." Fans can pre-order "Hiding in the Light" at NeuroticYellRecords.bandcamp.com.
